Thanks to a friend of Rotary for providing two African artisan pieces. The first is a stone round container approximately 3.5” in diameter and 4” to the top of the lid. It is carved with leaves and is in an earthen tone. The second is a wooden carving approximately 3”x2”x3”. Perhaps it is an elder teaching a younger member of his family mancala? What you are seeing is open to your interpretation.
